TRINITY requires all of its full time undergraduate students to gain practical work experience prior to graduation. This experience enables students to acquire vital hands-on training in the multifaceted hospitality industry. This practical experience is a paid work program and earns 4 academic credits for each of the three summers (June - August) that students are employed. It starts in the summer of the freshmen year and continues for the two subsequent summers of attendance at TRINITY.

The practicum takes place in one of the many hotels, resorts, restaurants or other hospitality entities located across the area and the country. The practicum is supervised and monitored by a faculty member assigned to each student and regular reports by the student and his/her supervisor(s) in the hospitality establishment are submitted to the faculty member and become part of the student's record. Students are also required to submit a final report/term paper at the end of each summer on a topic assigned by the supervising faculty member.
