The TRINITY curriculum has several distinctive features, and is particularly flexible, providing its students with a broader and more varied education without neglecting its mission of providing qualified professionals for the hospitality industry.
General Education Requirements are mandatory for all students, regardless of their field of specialization. Each student, in order to graduate from TRINITY, must complete this broad and intensive learning program. These courses have been designed to expand horizons and sharpen intellectual skills.
General Education Requirements consist of selected courses from the Arts, Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities and Inter-Disciplinary Studies. Students must plan to complete as many of these requirements as possible during their freshmen and sophomore years (up to 30 credits for freshmen and up to 60 credits for sophomores). A total of 45 credits (15 courses) of General Education Requirements must be completed before graduation. (see Listing of General Education Requirements for details about the number of mandatory courses from each discipline).
All students, irrespective of their field of specialization (major), must complete 45 credits of general education requirements from the list of courses given below. These requirements must be fulfilled within the first 60 credits earned at TRINITY. Students are urged, however, to complete the English, Mathematics and Statistics sequence within their first 40 credits.
