Tourism is one of the largest sectors of the global economy and is growing at almost exponential rates. With the rapid growth of the hospitality and tourism industry, the demand for more and better qualified professionals is also growing quickly. Wel- educated professionals who can plan, organize and implement programs and facilities in the hospitality and tourism industry are indispensable.
The Hospitality and Tourism Management program of TRINITY prepares students for the complexities of tourism and hospitality systems so that they can be better positioned to assume the managerial challenges and responsibilities of a diverse and challenging industry.
Students in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management will obtain hands-on-experience through courses in hospitality marketing, financial management, information technology and computer applications, food and beverage, tourism management and lodging operations management. Special emphasis is placed on developing analytical, decision making, leadership and communication skills - whereas TRINITY's practicum features some very attractive and unique characteristics.
Before graduation, students must complete the practicum requirements of their particular programs of study. The practicum is paid employment and earns 4 academic credits per practicum.
