Conventions, Events and Exhibitions (CEE) represent a segment of the tourism industry that has been experiencing dramatic growth in recent years and is becoming especially lucrative.
Industry statistics indicate that the average CEE tourist spends more than twice the amount of money as do other tourists. This development presents CEE organizers with exceptional and growing challenges. CEE planners in the twenty-first century are required to have a strong background in business, considerable knowledge of organizations and the professional skills required to plan detail-driven, high-visibility events and to facilitate a growing return on investment (ROI).
TRINITY’s Department of Convention, Event and Exhibition Management offers this field of specialization to students who are interested in the theoretical and practical aspects of event, convention and exhibition management. The program covers all the essential aspects of research, design, planning, coordination and evaluation of events, conventions and exhibitions of various types and sizes along with an in-depth analysis of special event management. Students study best practises and acquire vital skills in promotion, organization and risk management. The program will also provide students with knowledge of current professional development and employment opportunities by interacting with experts and practitioners in the field.
The courses of this major have been designed in collaboration with and are endorsed by HAPCO (Hellenic Association of Professional Congress Organizers) and EFAPCO (European Federation of the Associations of Professional Congress Organizers).
